Reception Opening Hours 

  • Monday to Thursday - 7.30am through 11pm.
  • Friday and Saturday - 7.30am through to 11pm.
  • Sunday -  9am to 6pm.

Reception is completely closed on Sunday nights.

In case you will arrive outside the reception hours, please give us a call on the day of your arrival so that we can make alternative arrangements.  Don’t worry, we won’t leave you out on the street!


Cancellation Policy

BOOKINGS BETWEEN 27 DECEMBER 2023 & 2 JANUARY 2024 THERE IS A 14 DAY CANCELLATION POLICY

48 hours notice before 10am GMT on the day of intended arrival is required to cancel a booking.  Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.  Guest No Shows will result in the whole of the reservation charged.

Check In

New arrivals can check at any time however be aware that before 10am, your bed/room may not be available.  In these cases guests may leave their luggage at the hostel while they explore London.

We do require Government issued photo identification is presented upon check in, preferably a Passport, I.D. card or driving license. 


Check Out

Departing guests must remove all their belongings from their room, and check out, before 10am. After this time you are free to use the hostel communal areas and you can leave your bags free of charge for the day. We also have long term storage available for a small fee

In the case of a late checkout, Barmy Badger reserves the right to charge for a further nights stay at the appropriate daily rate of the bed(s). Management discretion will apply.


Age Restriction 

We require all of our guests to be over the age of 18. Unlike some hostels we do not have an upper age limit. Most of our guests are backpackers in the 18 to 35 age range. If you make a booking with children, your booking will be cancelled and our Cancellation PolicyNo Show policy may apply. Please be aware that you may be sleeping in a top bunk and the hostel does not have a lift and we cannot always guarantee a lower level room or a lower bunk.

Guest Behaviour

The comfort, safety and security of our guests is of paramount importance to us. Any guest(s) who, in the opinion of our staff, compromise the comfort, safety or security of other guests, staff or local residents will be requested to leave the hostel premises and will not be offered a refund. Guests are expected to respect other guests, staff, local residents and property.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the Barmy Badger premises. Any guest found smoking within the building will be asked to leave the premises immediately and will not be offered a refund. A smoking area and ashtrays are provided in our outdoor terrace at the rear of the building for guests.

Personal Property

Guests have the use of a personal lockers and safe located in their rooms.  It remains the guest's responsibility to ensure that their personal belongings are secure at all times. Barmy Badger accepts no liability for the loss, theft or damage to property however sustained or caused.

Please bring a padlock to use with your locker or you can purchase one at reception.

Errors and Omissions

Any omission or error in sales literature, web pages or site, order form, quotation, price list, order acknowledgement, despatch note, invoice or other document issued by us may be corrected by us without liability. We will advise you of any changes at the time of booking or as soon as is reasonably possible thereafter.

Discretion

All bookings are subject to availability and Barmy Badger reserves the right to decline any booking at its discretion.
