Welcome to The Barmy Badger Backpackers
We're a backpackers hostel in London that feels more like a home than a hostel. Situated in Earl's Court, our small, friendly space has been welcoming fellow explorers since 1997.
Liz and Ken, who've travelled the world themselves, dreamed of creating a hub especially for backpackers. We offer clean, comfortable, and safe accommodation at a budget price, ideal for those looking to make new friends and memories.
With only 48 beds and no bar, our atmosphere is genuinely relaxed and intimate, making us a favourite London backpackers hostel for solo, couples and friends of up to 6 travellers alike.

Our Rooms
We offer three types of rooms, all designed for a comfortable and secure stay:
Private Double Room:
A snug spot for two, with a double bed, sprung mattress, washbasin, safe, and access to a shared bathroom.
Private Twin Room:
Perfect for friends or solo guests, with bunk beds, a sink, a large cupboard with laptop safe, and access to shared facilities.
Dormitory Options:
Choose from mixed or female-only 4 or 6 bed dorms with freshly renovated shared bathrooms and individual laptop safes in large lockers (bring your own padlock).
We also provide two female-only en-suite dorms.
Reliable Safety and Security: Your Peace of Mind
We take your security seriously at Barmy Badger Backpackers.
- Every guest in the dorms have their own large locker (bring your own padlock) with a laptop safe inside it to store belongings.
- The double rooms all have a laptop safe.
- CCTV is present in all common areas and the front door is always locked, with a code to get in and the code is changed regularly.
